And who thinks of you? Yes, we do! Fact is, few are the steps to follow to always be chic and elegant on a daily routine. Here’s some good make-up tricks you can use for a day at work, classes at the university or while bringing your son to guitar lessons.
STEP ONE: THE BASE

Especially during cold months, your skin will have the tendency to dry itself up and be parched. Hydrating your skin is the very first thing you want to do to prepare it best for your make-up. Charlotte Tilbury’s Charlotte’s Magic Cream is the perfect combination of anti-age and other natural ingredients that will moisturize your skin and make it look healthy and fresh.
Starting from the centre of the face apply Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15 by MÄC, a both natural and medium long lasting mat coverage foundation with very good oil control for a smoother skin and flawless finish. Use the 190 Foundation Brush by MÄC to distribute the foundation into your skin and then use your hands to blend it in.
To correct any discoloration or skin issues use the Pro Longwear Concealer by MÄC, a natural looking, full coverage, up to 15 hours long wearing concealer. Apply it by using the 195 Concealer Brush by MÄC, a synthetic fiber brush with precision slight pointed tip.
By using the 150 Large Powder Brush by MÄC fix the make-up base with the Mineralize Skinfinish Natural powder by MÄC starting from the centre of the face and working it out for a smooth natural finish and a marvellous light coverage.
STEP TWO: DEFINE

In order to make your look as lighted as possible, you want to define your make-up base with something that sculpts and blends your skin to the day light. To fulfil this, shed the Powder Blush in one of the multiple soft shades by MÄC on the top of the apple of your cheekbones by using the buffed edged 168 Large Angled Contour Brush by MÄC.
After that, take the Filmstar Bronze & Glow palette by Charlotte Tilbury, an incredible product composed of two features, a bronzer and a highlighter, and use the first one to shade and contouring the structure of your face by applying it underneath your cheekbones, right under the jaw line and up your temples. Use the highlighter to blend and glow your skin in those spots where the sun would naturally hit you: on top of your cheekbones, under the brow bone and down nose bridge. Both features need to be applied by using a precision brush like the Powder & Sculpt Brush by Charlotte Tilbury, which is fantastic for highlighting and sculpting.
STEP THREE: THE EYES

Let’s get now to the details. Take the Dessin Des Sourcils eyebrow pencil by Yves Saint Laurent of the same shade of your eyebrows tone, or a shade lighter and with its double function brush the brows up and literally start filling them in with the pencil by giving little strokes following the natural direction of the hair.
Curl the lashes with any lashes curler to open the look up and then take the Yves Saint Laurent’s Ombres 5 Lumieres in colour 3 - Tawny, an awesome multiple palette from soft to more intense shades. Apply the lightest champagne colour all over your upper eyelid by using the Eye Blender Brush Long by Yves Saint Laurent, then choose the chocolate colour and trace a v-shape on the outer edge of the eye corner, down the lash line and a little bit under the water line. With the same brush blend the two colours together in order to make a smoky eye effect.
What else to finish this step if not by using mascara? With its triple film-complex, Yves Saint Laurent’s Volume Effet Faux Cils will give your eyes a dramatic long lasting look at every stroke you give. Apply it on the upper lashes and give little vertical strokes on the lower ones. A great winner: volume is guaranteed!
