BORN IN CANADA, MADE IN EU

By Thursday, February 26, 2015

While currently being in the middle of women’s Autumn/Winter 2015 collections season, let’s start saying that doing European Fashion Weeks has honestly boosted my career pretty much: the fact that some of the shows I did were heavily promoted definitely gave me a lot of exposure.

If I had to pick one show I enjoyed the most between the ones I did so far, I would have to say for sure Philipp Plein, just because of how intense and fun it was. Seeing a real MMA fight and Snoop Dogg live is not something that happens every day. Whereas Plein was loud and open and out there as always, another amazing and at the same time opposite show was Valentino. It was a very smooth show with a very relaxed vibe that was just all around. So beautiful it definitely left a mark. And if I had to choose my favourite fashion capital work wise, it would be Milan. I always happen to do my best shows either there or in Paris. For living instead, I would surely say New York! Its architecture and its atmosphere among its feels: I absolutely love it!

When I’m free of engagements, not working or just in my free time, I usually I hang out with friends or write music and draw. There is a lot you can do in big cities! Speaking of my career as a model I can honestly say that just being able to get to know people in the industry is my biggest success so far! I like to think of me getting along with most people, which is obviously an advantage! Nonetheless, I just like going with the flow and letting nature take its course. To be honest, I can't honestly even say where I’m going to see myself tomorrow, but if in five years time I could be on a private jet off to the Bahamas I definitely wouldn't complain! My goal though, is to be able to support myself and my family through modelling.

I was scouted through Model Mayhem. My agent Sean found me and said "I would love to hire you!", so I accepted and since then it has been amazing. If only I had to select my least favourite aspect of modelling, it honestly would be the stress of having to be constantly on the go during Fashion Weeks, but apart from that I love it! A good companion through all these journeys though is always music. This time picking a "favourite" is a hard job because I love music so much! I don't think I have a favourite genre, I mostly like them all. It all depends on the mood I'm in!
