A few weeks ago my friends and I decided to attend one of the most popular festivals there is. So we randomly decided to go to Split, Croatia and enjoy Ultra Music Festival.

It was a 3 day festival held at Poljud stadium in the centre of the city itself. I had joined the festival a year before as well and let me tell you that this year it was a really big chaos because every year more and more people take part to this event and in my personal opinion Croatia can not host such a big event.

One of the main reasons why I decided to head to the festival is that I got to work there as a promotor as well as interviewing DJ's from all around the world, which was one of the highlight and the downsides of my trip to Split.

Let me start with the artists who performed at Ultra Music Festival this year. The line-up was simply spectacular from the trance, edm and underground prospective. The festival had four stages. Obviously the main stage was the one where the big world known edm artists performed, including Armin Van Buuren, Dash Berlin, Hardwell, W&W, Galantis, DVBS, 3LAU, Alesso, Steve Angello, Afrojack, David Guetta, Nicky Romero and many more. Than there was an undergroud stage where Carl Cox and Umek and other amazing producers and artists played. My favorite stage was the megastructure, where on the last night of the festival Armada Label artists performed, like ATB, Dash Berlin and others. Last but not the least was the commercial stage where new DJ's and competition DJ's had the change to show what they have got for people to see and get to know them as future artists of electronic music.

I personally loved sets from Armin Van Buuren, both of Dash Berlin's sets and 3LAU as well as Flosstradumus, which performed right after 3LAU; obviously ZEDD and Axwell & Ingrosso were amazing. I also really enjoyed sets from ATB, Wilkinson and Umek who is a Slovenian artist and has really made a success story in the electronic scene.

Let's not forget that this festival is also held in Miami, Bali, South Africa, Ibiza, Korea and many more new destinations.

My absolute highlight was the conversation I had with my favorite artist, Dash Berlin. Why? Because I was positively surprised that he was so kind, positive and communicative. I asked him: "How do you feel after such a big gig, when you get into a room where there's only you?". He answered that he's trying to take it all in and let the adrenaline make him happy as well as the whole experience itself.

I would maybe like to see more trap and drum and bass at the festival next year, since I believe that this would make the program a bit more versatile.

A lot of you are asking me how is it with the tickets, VIP areas and backstage. Well, let me be completely honest. A lot of people got in without real tickets, therefore they climbed over the fence to get in as well as knowing security guards is always helpful. About VIP areas, there are probably five different VIP's. From the two different areas which are available to purchase on their website, to the sponsored VIP areas and the best one of course is the artists and organisators VIP area. Backstage on the other end is specifically for artists, press, organisators and special VIP guests. Its ticket is not available to be purchased: if it were, it would be very expensive, let me tell you that.

To conclude this big amazing and scary experience, I would recommend it to groups of friends who just like to have fun! Anyhow this have been yet again three amazing days of my summer.
