Paratissima Skopje is an
international contemporary art fair devoted to the support and promotion of
culture, art and the creative industries. It connects existing networks in the
cultural and creative sector giving them an opportunity for collaboration and
ignites the growth of new, organic networks in line with the innovations and
needs of the current cultural and art markets.
The second edition of
Paratissima Skopje which took place from June 12th to 14th at the YouthCulturalCenter in Skopje drew the interest of
over 106 artists. Among the participants, the second edition
hosted artists from Macedonia, Italy, France, Great Britain, Germany, Turkey,
Norway, Finland, Chile, Poland, Russia, Montenegro, Serbia, Croatia, USA,
Slovakia, Denmark, Austria, Greece, South Korea and Iran.
The three day event included fifteen
special projects, fifteen live events, eight workshops and the attendance of
4.600 visitors. A total of seventeen awards were given to selected artists.
A selection of eleven
artists were awarded with full participation at the 11th edition
of Paratissima in Turin, Italy. Two artists were awarded an
individual exhibition at the contemporary art gallery Flux in Skopje
while other two were granted an independent exhibition at the Serious Interest
Agency gallery in Skopje.
If you are a visual artist,
performer, designer, architect, photographer, fashion designer, filmmaker,
musician or practice any other form of art making, Paratissima Skopje invites
you to show and share your work with new audiences. They welcome the
participation of experienced, emerging and non-academic artists and creatives and encourage them to experiment, transform and trespass the
conventional boundaries in expressing themselves and their work.
The third edition of Paratissima Skopje will be held
from June 10th to 12th2016 at the
YouthCulturalCenter in Skopje. Everyone from everywhere can
participate at Paratissima Skopje and showcase their work, regardless of the
format they use to express themselves. Every author has absolute autonomy over the
choice, technique and presentation of their artwork. The participants and their
works will be exhibited at the YouthCulturalCenter
with the help and coordination of Paratissima Skopje’s curator.
