As the sun is getting hotter, we can’t stand still, not only because of the excitement of summer quickly arising but also due the festival season is quickly awakening. It is begging hard to stand still and even harder to keep calm. That is why we are sure, a lot of you are already making plans for summer holidays. As electronic dance music is taking over most of Europe’s open air festivals, the opening of a new interesting one of a kind, must visit will be held. This summer for the first time, a festival with an interesting name will take place in the heart of Eastern Europe. Not only it is the first of its kind in this country, but it is also a big up-lift for the area. All the fuss is about Bosnia and Herzegovina, a country in deep Medeterian with four million inhabitants, which will for the first time in its history host an electronic festival called Fat Cat. An idea was made by young and perspective individuals who share grand love for this genre and felt it is a must have this year. We’ve gotten the chance to get the latest scoop with organizers of this one - of a kind phenomen.

What is the main purpose of Fat Cat?

«The main purpose of the Fat Cat festival is to share the magic of the EDM scene to the people here. To connect all the folks from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Balkan and Europe.».

Why would Fat Cat be interesting for a foreign guest?

«Fat Cat would be interesting for a foreign guest because it is the first Open Air EDM festival ever in this country. No one has ever done it before.».

Fat Cat is an appealing and interesting name, is there a secret meaning behind it?

«Who doesn’t love fat cats?».

What type of music can visitors expect at the festival?

«There will be music of all different genres. From deep house, tropical house, uk garage to big room, festival trap, dubstep,… It’s going be a full flavor festival, so that everyone can enjoy the festival.».

As Fat Cat being the first electronic festival in Bosnia, do you think it will impact young individuals in this area to listen to more music of this genre?

«We really hope so. The youth here is full and sick of the 3rd class music. We want them to show the beauty of the EDM scene.».

What is the essential element that separates Fat Cat from all other festivals in Europe?

«It’s a festival for everyone, you don’t even need to listen to EDM and you still can be a part of the Fat Cat family. Everyone is welcome and everyone can be a part of it.».

«The purpose is to have fun, take risks and meet new friends. In the end of the day the only thing that matters, is to have fun.».
