LJUBLJANA FASHION WEEK: S/S 2016

DAY ONE

MARKO MITANOVSKI

The presentation was in Gallus's Hall, where models were standing on a circulation stage, which looked very strong and especially original. They had all black make-up and were dressed in amazing leather and latex designs by Marko Mitanovski, inspired by nature and architecture. The ghoulish-looking models had most of their features completely hidden by the shiny oils, which were then accessorised with black facial jewels. We loved the whole collection which was very edgy and high fashion. Especially mesmerizing was the complete presentation meaning not only the clothes but also music, staging and the ambient.

DAY TWO

JSP

The second day of fashion week started with video installation of amazing and fresh fashion clips. After that Sari Valenci, one of our favorite Slovenian designers received an Mercedes-Benz award. After that, we had the opportunity to watch one of the best fashion shows we had the chance to attend in Slovenia. JSP designers showed us their latest collection, which has been very powerful, because of the bold red dresses with slogans written on them. Also mesmerizing was the last piece which was a simply amazing white coat.

DAY THREE

It all started off with a "viljamovka" shot, than we all went to the Gallus' hall where the first part of shows started after a really strong disturbing yet ongoing video while the arena was filling with designers, editors etc.. First part of the shows started with Akultura show, following were: Dioralop, Petja Zorec, Dajana Ljubičič and Mêhlê. In between was a talk about fashion and history of it all with five interesting fashion guru's including Tomaž Pandur. Right after that, the second part of the show presentations started. The designers that showed us their latest designs were: Peter Movrin, Madamedemode, Anja Dragan and Verena Schepperheym. My favorite shows of the evening were: Peter Movrin, Mêhlê and Akultura.
