Slovenian DJ Tim Urbanya started playing music when he was seventeen and three years after that he began producing his own music. Listen to a lot of different music/genres is his key to inspiration: from Funk to R’n’B, from Classical music to the sound of 80’s electro. His biggest inspiration are successful and happy people.

Talking about his goals, Tim Urbanya wishes himself to visit all the Clubs and Festivals around the world and make people dance. In fact, at the question “where do you see yourself in five years time?” he answers: «We will see, probably travelling around the Globe.».

He also stated that «every Club and every Venue has its own story. I like several Clubs and Festivals, but Club Cirkus in Ljubljana is definitely one of the best clubs I’ve performed in.». Tim’s favourite places where he would like to perform in are clubs like Ministry Of Sound, Pacha and LIV and of course, EDC, Ultra and Tomorrowland Festival.

When creating a song Tim says he does not exactly know how the song will become: «it depends what I wanna do. Usually I don’t know how the track will sound at the end. I’m more “go with the flow” guy.».

According to his opinion electronic dance music is heading back to basics, lots of melodies, acoustic instruments, vocals. «I think this is the new EDM.».

For the summer Tim is currently accepting bookings and moving to London, while his big dream would be to make a collaboration with Rick Rubin, Hans Zimmer or Adele in the future.

Random question: “What do you personally think about Jack U & Bieber collaboration? In that meaning do you think that the new so called EDM is going in the new pop direction?” «There’s no business like show business.».

And to our last question, “What would you be doing now if not music?” Tim answers: «Jet Plane Pilot, definitely!».
