Miami: the heart of Florida. For us, tourists, it is the perfect
spot for vacation. Its tropical climate, with temperatures constantly around 30
° C, sun shining like crazy, its endless sandy beach offers you perfect water
to jump in and refresh.
South Beach is the place to be at, especially
for young people. The beach is near the city, and very good hotels and hostels are
close by. But the focus for the younger population of tourists is definitely
the nightlife. Whole
South Beach
is full of world famous night clubs, like Mansion, Cameo, Liv, Nikki Beach and
many others. Wherever you choose to party, you can't miss with your choice. In
other words, the Miami
nightlife is C-R-A-Z-Y.
Since the climate is extremely hot, you mustn't
ever forget to carry a bottle of water with you and hydrate. Also, don't forget
to put sunscreen on your skin, even when you're just exploring the streets of South Beach.
The most known part of South
Beach is Art Deco, a historic part of
the South Beach, which at night time turns into a
beautiful scenery, coloured with different lights. Miami
Beach, which also features South Beach,
has many lifeguard stands, but not one of them is the same as another. They are
all different in shape, colour and design. It is very picturesque and fun to
see them all.
In Downtown Miami, it is perfect to drive
through or walk through and see all the sights. The most iconic is the American
Airlines Arena, where you have to go see a NBA basketball game, if you have the
chance. But more then just exploring the Miami,
you should rent a car and drive around the city and also Florida. In the area of the city you find
Miami Sea Aquarium, but more famous than that is the Sea World, which is in Orlando. It is known for
its killer whale and also dolphin shows. When in Orlando,
you have to go to one of the theme parks of Disneyland.
It is not only perfect for kids, but also for adults, who are mostly still kids
in their soul. Everyone will enjoy this experience.
Down to the southern part of Florida, a must experience is to visit the
Eveglades, the natural park known for the alligators. But even further down to
the south, you have to drive to Key West, the
most southern point of the United States,
which is only 90 miles
away from Cuba.
Key West is
mostly known for its beautiful sunsets, which you definitely can't miss.
Well, it wouldn't be right to finish this
article without mentioning shopping. In South Beach,
there is a long street, full of shops, known as Lincoln Road. It also offers many dining
options. But if you're interested in bigger shopping centres, there are
Aventura Mall and Dolphin Mall. To both you can drive by car or take a bus.
There are also many outlets, which will surprise you with their prices, in a
very good way.

Experiencing Florida like us did - "fly and drive" - was a very good option - but if we had all that info we have now, it would be perfect ....
